Police services are provided by the Bonney Lake Police Department. The Police Department consists of 31 commissioned officers and 7.6 civilian support positions. The Bonney Lake Police Department provides the citizens of Bonney Lake with a broad range of law enforcement services. There are two core areas that provide traditional law enforcement services plus several small specialty units staffed by officers throughout the department on an additional duty basis.

The mission of the Bonney Lake Police department is to provide quality law enforcement and preserve the peace within the framework of the Constitution and enforcement of federal, state and municipal law. We embrace the highest principles of public service adhering to legislative standards of fairness, impartiality and equality.

In fulfillment of that mission, the department provides the following services:
  • Patrol services, including initial response to calls and coordination of law enforcement services with external agencies;
  • Criminal investigations, including investigation of criminal offenses;
  • Dissemination of crime information to the public and other agencies;
  • Community services, including management of and response to, domestic violence and youth related complaints, provision of education related services to include crime prevention;
  • Administrative services including planning and fiscal management, crime and federal criminal justice systems; and
  • Personnel management services, including internal affairs, training, and personnel services.

The Police Department consists of:

  • The Office of the Chief includes annual reports and information regarding our Police Chief.
  • Operations includes information about The Marine Service Unit, Metro Tactical Response Team, Patrol Units & Traffic Units.
  • Administration includes information on Investigations, Records/Records Requests, Community Service Officers, Volunteers & Sex Offenders information. 
  • Recruitment - Information about working for the Bonney Lake Police Department.
  • Other Police Services including fingerprinting, CPL information, animal control, boat launch passes and victim services.
