Allan Yorke Park Restricted Parking
Background & Purpose. Overcrowding at the park has led to several security issues over the years. Residents that live on streets identified as restricted would be able to obtain a free permit from the City to continue to park on the street. Vehicles parked on the street without the permit would be subject to the enforcement measures provided in the code. This is the same process that the City currently uses around Bonney Lake High School to prevent parking from impacting neighboring residences.

In order to help of this, the Bonney Lake City Council, based on input from staff and Allan Yorke Park neighborhood residences, enacted Ordinance no. 1703 (BLMC 10.36), placing parking restrictions on select City streets in the vicinity of the park. This was done to preserve parking along those streets to neighborhood residents.

Bonney Lake High School
Background & Purpose. Since the opening of the Bonney Lake High School (BLHS), the amount of available parking spaces at the High School does not cover all students who drive to school. The likelihood of crammed BLHS parking lots might entice students and others to park along surrounding neighborhood streets.

In anticipation of this, the Bonney Lake City Council, based on input from staff and BLHS neighborhood residences, enacted Ordinance no. 1193 in 2006 and has been recently updated with Ordinance no. 1703 (BLMC 10.36.020), placing parking restrictions on select City streets in the vicinity of the high school. This was done to preserve parking along those streets to neighborhood residents .
